GOP Passes Gerrymandered Maps, Dems Still Have Opportunity in Many Districts

 

Harrisburg, PA - Today, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives passed the GOP's extreme, gerrymandered Congressional maps. 

 

"These maps are a disgrace," said Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman Jim Burn. "Republicans have done their very best to rig the system, but Democrats still have several strong pick-up opportunities and we look forward to defeating Republicans in their own gerrymandered districts. The maps were drawn behind closed doors without input from the public. Republicans are trying to rig the system because their Members of Congress have repeatedly voted against the interests of Pennsylvanians."
